Bloggin' is easy

So, as I might have suspected, this is fairly easy. Just to test things out, and to link to some rad tunes (I can't post music bars directly, I can post youtube videos but not music only that I have found yet). Linked are a few new Burial tracks with Thom Yorke and Four Tet.

As well, I have a few hydroG things to share. Mostly I deal with water issues in Alberta, and I suspect most of my posts will deal with things going on around me in Alberta. Today, however, I have a very dated story from the  BBC (2004 to be exact), about some of the major water issues the world is dealing with. It might be interesting to see how many more stories would be included in a similar article written today, but I am fairly certain these specific issues have not gone away. Not all of the articles are related to groundwater, but most surface water issues concern groundwater and visa versa. Anyway, an interesting read that will likely end up being one of the links located in the WaterFall on the side.

What is Rock Soup?

Rock Soup will be my introduction to blogging, something I have never done before and right now seems a little confusing still. I hope this blog to be based on Hydrogeology related items and as such have names it Rock Soup. The name Rock Soup comes from the geology T-shirt with the image of a piece of cake looking like a cross section. If geology as a food is best represented by cake, maybe Hydrogeology can be represented by a bowl of soup. This image I have not yet come up with but for now I will leave with the picture of geology cake and a note that I do not yet know what Rock Soup is but hope to find out:
