Texas Groundwater Law (same as it ever was)

I read via the NWGA newsletter that: The Texas Supreme Court ruled that landowners have an ownership interest in the water underneath their land. Similar to oil, you can extract all the groundwater under your property until your neighbors well runs dry.

This holds up a law created in 1843 when groundwater was thought to be from underground rivers.
